Auto Green OFF disables that timed-shot activation path. It does not automatically turn off Button Rhythm, dribbles, or every other Rift feature; those have their own settings.

Auto Green has OFF, BUTTON, and RHYTHM choices. Button Rhythm is a separate switch for a manual shooting path. If you want a manual-first setup, check that switch and its speed instead of assuming the Auto Green mode controls it.
Know which number the menu shows
In the supplied Auto Green MS page, RHYTHM displays the rhythm duration; the other mode states use the button duration field. Editing a number while Auto Green is OFF does not enable the timed action. Keep mode and duration recorded together.
Build a deliberate minimal setup
Turn off only the features you do not intend to use and preserve the rest of your build. Test the chosen manual controls before adding more mods. There is no need to rewrite the file merely to use a smaller set of its features.
