The short answer
In the supplied Rift V1.1 file, Auto-Green normally uses R3/RS. When Button Rhythm is active and the remap assigns R3/RS to Square/X, Auto-Green moves to L3/LS. Read the on-screen USE hint for your current setup.
Check the mode and hint
Open the menu with L2 + Options on PlayStation or LT + Menu on Xbox. Select BUTTON or RHYTHM on Auto Green. The screen’s USE hint reflects the active Auto-Green bind. OFF disables that mode, even if you press the correct stick button.
Understand why the bind can change
Button Rhythm and its Square/X remap affect which stick button is available for Auto-Green. This is why “always press R3” is incomplete advice. Check the displayed mapping after changing Button Rhythm or switching saved builds.
Use a fresh press while standing still
The supplied V1.1 Auto-Green routine requires a fresh press and a neutral left stick. Holding the bind while moving does not queue a later shot. Release it, stop moving, and press again when no other shot action is busy. This is control behavior, not a guarantee about the shot result.

Common questions
Why did the Auto-Green button change?
Check Button Rhythm, the Square/X remap, and the active build. The on-screen hint identifies the current bind.
Why does holding it while moving do nothing?
V1.1 consumes the press and requires a fresh press in a valid stationary state rather than queuing a delayed shot.
