The current format loads stored build settings. Named V3 test and V2.8 paths convert specific older layouts. A public filename that looks similar does not prove its stored layout matches those paths, and renaming a download does not convert its data.
Understand the important conversion
Older raw tempo values are mapped to one of five named speed choices. The V2.8 path also establishes the separately stored rhythm Auto Green duration at its default. Keep this in mind when comparing an older screenshot with a current menu.
Preserve settings instead of forcing a match
Unknown storage follows default initialization. Do not edit the signature to force the program to interpret arbitrary data as a supported format. Keep your official file and settings notes, follow the supplied update instructions, and check each build after a supported migration.
