The short answer
Rift’s Instant Triggers routine turns positive raw trigger input into full processed trigger output. Other handlers can still use raw input for their own activation checks.

Compare Rift with other 2K27 scripts →Understand the two readings
Raw input is what the controller supplied before Rift’s output adjustments. Processed output is what the script sends onward. A device-monitor display may show both, so label them when diagnosing a trigger issue instead of treating every visible number as the same signal.
Keep feature thresholds separate
A handler that checks raw trigger input above a threshold does not automatically see full raw input just because Instant Triggers later sends full output. This explains why a tiny physical press and a fully held trigger are not always interchangeable in every feature combination.
Record the controller configuration
Trigger stops, calibration, and external remaps can change the incoming values. Keep those settings recorded before testing the Rift toggle. Confirming the output mapping does not measure end-to-end input delay or guarantee a competitive advantage on every controller.
